The group is edited by one person, and all are checked.
Even a local change of clothes affects the neighboring hands, hair and shadows, so the task begins not with the prompt but with a map of roles: who is the target, who enters the transition area and whose characteristics cannot be changed.
Mark the target, transition and protected area
For example, the jacket of a central person from collar to waist.
Hair, neighbor's hand, bag belt, common shadow and edge of clothing.
Faces, positions, background, other people's clothes and distances between people.
The biggest mistake is to think of the mask as a technical boundary, and in order to replace the sleeve, models have to figure out what's in front of it and behind it, so the more overlaps there are, the wider the scope.
First, choose a shot where people don’t argue over pixels.
Don’t collect five local changes in a single launch.
- 1Set the source.
It remains the control version for all faces and postures.
- 2Change one person.
One clothing, one accessory or one local issue.
- 3Compare the whole group.
Check not only the target, but also neighbors on both sides.
- 4Start the next line with a confirmed frame.
Do not accumulate unnoticed drift of faces.
Name the person through position and clothing
PurposeReplace only the man's coral jacket in the center with a dark green jacket. The borderKeep his face, hair, arms and posture. Don't change the people on the left and right, their faces, clothes and position.Scene.Keep the background, framing, direction of light and common shadows.
The description of "male" is not enough if there are more than one man, and the position in the frame and visible object give the model a clear support without identification.
Check faces in a circle, not by impression from the center
If the protected person has changed, a good target is still considered unsuccessful. Go back to the last confirmed version, narrow down the operation and repeat only one branch.
A too small face cannot be reliably “protected” with words alone.
If the face has almost no distinguishable details, the model can retain a common type, but not a specific facial expression. For important group photography, use a larger source or separate references only for people whose recognition is critical.
Control is more convenient to do in pairs: the original and new face of one person should be shown on the same scale. First compare hairline, eye shape and smile, then head position and only after that general light, so noticeable drift is not masked by a beautiful treatment of the whole scene.
If two protected participants have changed, don't continue to change that result. Go back to the source, narrow down the task and reduce the area of intervention. Consistency is more important than number of attempts: the next operation should start only from the already confirmed frame.
Local editing of a group is communication management.
The goal can be called a single sentence, but the boundaries run through neighboring objects, lights and shadows. A map of roles and sequential validation keep other people intact.
