Expansion of the frame begins within the initial framework
The AI continues the lines, textures and meaning of the scene beyond the edges of a photograph. If the perspective is unclear inside the frame, the new section only makes the uncertainty more noticeable. Before outpainting you need to find the horizon, main directions and objects that can not be stretched.
Expand the frame for a specific task
The walls, sky, ceiling and verticals continue. Make sure that the person is not visually lowered.
The context of the scene emerges. Repetitive windows and furniture must be subject to perspective.
The most risky way for a person and an object: the model has to complete the body, gender and contact.
The phrase "broaden up" doesn't explain why a new square is needed. Specify the format and role of space: a calm background, an extension of the interior or a place for future text.
Continue lines to the same points of descent
The edges of the floor, ceiling, table and windows give direction to the depth. In a single-point perspective they converge on the same horizon; in an angular interior there are two sides working; the error occurs when a new object gets its own camera and no longer belongs to a scene.
Don’t give a good center to reinterpretation.
A person, a product, the initial crop inside the frame, color and direction of light.
Walls, floor, sky, neutral surfaces and natural rhythm of the scene.
New people, doors, furniture, text and bright semantic objects without request.
Expand in large directions, but check one by one.
- 1Select the final aspect ratio.
Do not create an extra area that will still go under the crop.
- 2Secure the reference area.
Think about what’s right inside the box.
- 3Continue one axis.
First, the sides or top; leave the complex bottom as a separate operation.
- 4Check the junction and perspective.
Only then move on to the next direction.
Request.Expand the interior left and right to 16:9. Save the original center area unchanged. Continue windows, floors and ceiling beams to the same points of descent, keep the direction of morning light. Don't add people, inscriptions or new furniture.
Take a look through the old and new areas
They don’t break down at the border or change corners.
Windows, tiles and furniture are gradually reduced.
The shadows and glare continue without a new source.
Empty space is not filled with random objects.
There is no documented exact scene beyond the edge.
Extension creates a plausible sequel, rather than restoring what was really behind the camera. Real estate, evidence and accurate reconstruction require additional angles, not one successful generation.
Before expanding, mark the lines that already define the camera: the edges of the floor, ceiling, furniture and windows. After generation, mentally continue them through the junction. If parallel elements suddenly diverge in the other direction, a new fragment is built from another point of view.
At first, expand the frame horizontally if this is enough for the desired format. Adding a floor, ceiling and two side areas at the same time causes the model to solve too many geometric problems. Sequential steps are easier to compare and easy to roll back without losing the good center part.
A good outpainting looks like a wider lens
It does not demonstrate the ingenuity of the model, but calmly continues the camera, light and rhythm of its original scene to the desired format.
