White products are separated from the background not by color, but by tonal boundaries.
If the background and object have the same brightness, the contour disappears. Trying to correct this with a strong contrast turns white plastic into gray. The working circuit combines a soft gradient on the body, a thin backlight and a calm contact shadow.
The background does not have to be darker around the perimeter.
It's enough that the edge of an object, at least in some places, differs by several tonal steps. On one side, the circuit can support a light reflex, on the other - a soft gray stripe.
The background and body have the same brightness.
The same dark line appeared along the edge.
The boundary changes with light and shape.
Large source shows shape with soft gradient
In a cylinder, light flows smoothly from the light section to the half-tone. The faceted package has sharper transitions; a second narrow source can be placed behind to separate the bright edge, but it must not turn into a neon border.
The contact shadow tells where the product ends and the surface begins.
The shadow directly under the base is darker and sharper, then quickly dissolves. If it's not there, the object hangs in the air; if it is equally gray and wide, it looks like a rough montage.
White plastic, porcelain and fabric require different glare
Request.Place a white matte vial on a clean white background. Keep the exact shape and shade of the product. Show the volume with a soft side gradient, a thin light contour on the right and a short natural shadow under the base, without gray lines or relights.
Check the card on a white and light gray screen
Separate white products and a white background with light rather than gray trimming
First, keep a slight difference in brightness: the background is close to white, but not completely knocked out; the front face of the product remains light, the side face gets a soft half-tone. Then add a narrow contact shadow or surface reflection. Artificial dark circuit around the whole object quickly gives you montage.
Check the histogram with your eyes: package details, lid and ribs should be read on a scaled-down card. If the item disappears only after export, the problem may not be in generation, but in excessive lightening, compression or white background of the site interface.
The neutral card must confirm the actual products.
AI can help build light and background, but the shape, hue, trim and mandatory labeling must be checked against a real photo.Atmospheric promo frame does not replace an honest basic angle.
The white card is based on subtle differences, not rough contrast.
The correct light keeps the catalog clean and at the same time shows the real shape, material and position of the product.
